HIGHWIRE Powerstar Duo offers an intelligent solution for upgrading existing coaxial cabling to support modern IP-based devices, including two network cameras or similar equipment. This innovative Ethernet-over-Coax technology enables long-distance Ethernet transmission using legacy cabling — even lower-grade copper-clad-steel (CCS) types commonly found in older installations. Its ultra-low power design and SafeView™ power level display ensure consistent performance and easy verification of connectivity, regardless of cable quality. Capable of delivering up to 200Mbit/s bandwidth over RG-59 coax at distances of up to 300 metres (1,000 feet), the Powerstar Duo guarantees predictable network performance without compromise. The HIGHWIRE Powerstar Duo features an integrated two-port POE switch, enabling installers to connect and power two IP cameras through a single coaxial cable. Installation is remarkably straightforward — no IP configuration or DIP switch settings are required. The base unit can be deployed in single, four, or eight-channel configurations, offering flexibility for larger systems. The HIGHWIRE Powerstar Duo Power can be delivered via PoE-over-Coax with a total budget of up to 25 watts, or through optional Veracity 57VDC power supplies that provide either 40 or 78 watts, depending on the model. The built-in SafeView™ display gives instant confirmation of camera operation, simplifying setup and maintenance. Whether powered locally or through POE, the Powerstar Duo offers a reliable, plug-and-play solution for seamlessly upgrading analogue infrastructure to high-performance IP networks.
